Title: Wexford in the rare oul times
Post by: atmartinas on Thursday 27 August 20 20:26 BST (UK)
My Aunt has written a note about 1 or maybe 2 photos in a book -Wexford in the Rare Oul'Times by Nicholas Furlong and John Hayes Vol 2

In her note she refers to a photo of Roche Brothers taken at time of 1st air flight between Britain and Ireland by Corbet Wilson she clearly indicates that it is in the above book.

She also refers to a photo of Patrick Roche, Castle Street Enniscorthy, its not clear if this is in the same book.
Patrick is my grandfathers 1st cousin not sure who the 3 brothers are.

The book is available to buy on Amazon but before I buy I would like to know who the 3 brothers are and if the Patrick Roche photo is in the book.

If anyone has the book can they check for me please?
Thanks
M

Thanks Jim, so the 3 Roches are my Grandads 1st Cousins does it say where the photo is from or who the photographer is? Is it a clear photo I will buy the book if it is.
No sign of the other photo my Aunt referred to of Pat Roche on a bicycle?
Thanks

Thanks again Jim. I didn't notice last night that you wrote they were the sons of James Roche which is correct but he was not the son of Robert he was the son of Patrick, he did marry Mary Jane Doran. The civil registration of their marriage is wrong. The family were known to my Aunt via her Dad and I have also connected to descendants at the appropriate level via DNA.
On my very long list of things to do is go to Church they married in Dublin to see what is written there. I did try email to them but no reply.
