I'm looking for information about Margaret Wilson Cafferata b.12/28/1889 Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. I have seen the birth index but am looking for marriage details.
A family tree says she married someone named "M M Roosa" had two children and died 1933.
There is a BC death index for Margaret Roosa died 07/22/1937 in Vancouver. I am assuming the 1933 date is an error. The family had links with Vancouver so the location fits.
I have not been able to find any marriage details or further information about her husband, so any more information would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks again. I know quite a lot about the Moose Jaw Cafferatas. Joseph Waterworth Cafferata was one of William Cafferata's sons.
There was also a lot of crossover between the Cafferatas and Mouberts.
Eleanor and Harold Moubert were second cousins, Joseph Waterworth Cafferata had an uncle named Adolphus Moubert Cafferata and William Cafferata's sister in law was married to Adolphus Moubert.
-
Just wondered if the death/obit info for father or some of the others might have mentioned Margaret/Matthew.
Sandra
-
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to help much with the Cafferata / Roosa marriage but your efforts are appreciated. The link to Harold Moubert's obituary has given me a lot of information about him. Thanks again.
-
Nothing showed in Saskatchewan or British Columbia as far as I could see. Probably nothing available for the time frame you might be requiring. Lots of M Roosa so quite common.
Amazing how obits can provide loads of information so that did help you out.
Sandra
-
Thanks again. I really do appreciate the help you have given.
-
Perhaps it could be a Catholic Marriage - noticed earlier that Eduard Joseph Cafferata was christened at Mission de St Joseph, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan ?
Not sure if this link wold help but sometimes they are interesting to have a read thru,
https://aumkleem.wordpress.com/tag/mission-de-st-joseph/
Strange we do not see Margaret/Madge after 1916 - a lot of the others are still around or on census up to 1926.
Sandra
-
Was there no mention of Roosa nephews or nieces in any of the obituaries ?
Sandra
-
Thanks for the continued help. At the moment I'm away from home reading everything on my phone so it's quite possible I could have missed something.
I'll certainly have a good look when I get back.

Someone has an ancestry tree which mentions Miss Margaret Caferetta (as it is spelt) and a Matthew Mathias born about May 1879 North Dakota died about 1963 Edmonton Alberta. Showing a child (no info)
At least the initials would fit. Alas this one married a Phebe in 1915 and appears on the 1916 and 1921 census, so unless they split up and he married Margaret after this ???
An Ontario marriage we might have picked up until 1935 but not British Columbia or Saskatchewan.
Sandra
This tree is trying to link Matthew Mathias Roosa (1879 - 1963 but I think they have that date wrong - might be 1967)and Margaret Caferette to Mildred Jessie Chambers Roosa 1929 - 2911. Mildred Jessie Chambers was married to a Joseph Roosa who was a teacher in Vancouver. Haven'y quoite found a birth date for Joseph Roosa.
The obit for Matthew Mathia Roosa would mention son Joseph in Vancouver - ???

The obit for Matthew Mathias you have linked yo seens a likely fit - I mentioned in my original post that there were 2 children. Their names were Audrey and Joseph so fit with nanes given in the obit.
Hopefully I should get some time tomorrow on my computer to really go through things. Thanks again
-
The Mildred Jessie Chambers marriage could be to Margaret and Matthew's son...
-
Wasn't sure whether to post that inform on Matthew Roosa in case it proved to be a red - herring but pleased I did now. We might be finding some links.

Thanks for all of your help in this search!
-
Sorry we haven't found the marriage of Margaret and Mathias Matthew yet. I was hoping to find some newspapers mention but went thru loads yesterday and nothing. More and more records keep coming online so worth checking from time time. Unknown whether it would be Edmonton Alberta or British Columbia.

Thanks so much for all the efforts you have put in.

This was the obit for Delbert Chambers - father of Mildred Jessie Chambers (Joseph M Roosa)
The obit shows the two initials for Joseph which we could have guessed anyway - J M

Perhaps located a photograph of one of the daughters of Mildred and J- will send link by pm
and a link to J M -
