I am having enormous trouble coming to grips with these 6 lines. An english summary would suffice.
I can see that it mentions Alicia his wife. It mentions that if his daughters Alicia & Margareta get married. It also mentions John LOK & William GRAND (the executors).
Also, I don’t understand the character I underlined in red.
Can anyone help me please?
Regards
Grantley

I'm 99.99% sure this character is a contraction of quod. If you discount the cross line, you can see that the remainder is a q.
In the second line I think it is: ...tu(nc) volo [character] si p(re)d(i)c(t)a Alicia et Margareta maritare...
Being (roughly translated): ...then I will [that] if the aforesaid Alice and Margaret to marry...

Thank you. Quod fits in well, in all other places where it appears.
I was wondering if it is saying, that if the marriages got the approval of his wife & the executors then there was 100 li each. Just a guess.

The wording suggests that a legacy of £100 (£50 each) has already been assigned to Alice and Margaret. So I think it’s saying that if either of them marries without the consent of the widow and executors, they will receive only a shilling, and the legacy of £100 (£50 each) will be voided.

Thank you.
That makes it a hugely easier for me. :)
