Hi, I have got to my grandparents Thoms Herring 1780 in Kirklington NottinghamshireEngland died 1858.
Frances Harrison marr: 1801 at Kirklington,Nottinghamshire. I cannot find out Frances birth or death
or the children. Could you point me in the right direction of where to look as the births etc only start at 1837. Thanks for any information you can give me.

There are 2 possible deaths in 1858
Is he the 1858 Melton Mowbray death aged 79? If so - the 1851 shows him b Denington Yorkshire & married to Ann
Or is he the Northallerton death? The 1851 shows him b 1778 North Kilvington Yorkshire and married to Margaret?
Can you post the 1851 entry for your Thomas?

I'm a little confused here.

Do you mean the birth/bapts of children of Thomas/Frances?
If you dont have them, esp the bapt of your ancestor how did you get back to that 1801 Marriage?
Anyhow I've found their childrens bapts, back soon, dinner time here in OZ :)

Looks to me that Thomas remarried to Susannah SHEPHERD 15 Dec 1817 Edingley as there are children Bapt to a THOMAS/SUSANNAH 1818-828
I will have to look at it more to confirm this.

I got back to my gt granddad samuel Herring b: 1806 @ Worksop,Notts marr: Elizabeth hallam,1811 @ Kirkby-in-Ashfield,Notts d:1911 @ Kirkby 8 Children and her siblings. then I know that Thomas Herring his father b:@ Bilsthorpe msrr: Frances nee Harrison

THat is why I am strugglinging with my grandfathers side, There is nothng on his father or mother and I don't know where to look to find out.

Samuels Bapt I have given you and his Parents Thomas/Frances's Burials.
So neither Thomas or Frances were alive in 1841 Census.

So you quote 1858 Death for Thomas;
There are 4;
Melton Mowbray age 79 (Leics)
Basford age 6 (Notts)
Islington age 29 (London)
Nothallerton age 81 (Yorks)
In my opinion yours died 1828 as I have said.

On Burial in 1816 Frances HERRING was age 35 born c 1781
Also on 1801 Marriage Thomas Herrings Parish at the time was Bilsthorpe*
