Title: Margaret Russell / Williamson
Post by: tracey clarke on Sunday 06 September 20 21:18 BST (UK)
Have found a marriage record for Margaret Williamson to George Russell Launceston Tasmania on the 21st September 1890. Margaret is a widow.
She was mentioned in a will of a Waller relative in 1900 so I was curious to see whose daughter she was.
So going backwards found a marriage record for Margaret Ellen Dowd to John Williamson on 18th April 1883 Hobart.
Trying to work out if they are the same person. Dowd's are related to Wallers.
I am hoping that she was born in County Cavan Ireland.
Can anyone help. Thank you

Dowd's are related to Wallers.

These link to the 1893 birth of May Elizabeth Dowd, parents George Dowd and Margaret Roseman, that wasn't registered until 1968.

First of all many thanks for all the information. Very much appreciated.
I have been looking at the Williamson will and am having trouble reading the word before William Wallers name.
Could you tell me what you think it says. Thank you
