Hi
Can anyone share ANY information on Capt. E P Conway.
I know he was the Adjutant in the 3rd Battalion Kerry Regiment around 1910.
That's all I have!
Thanks in advance.

Did you perhaps mean the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Munster Fusiliers; formerly known as the Kerry Militia?
Royal Munster Fusiliers were formed in the 1881 Childers Reforms, and consisted of 101st Regiment of Foot, 104th Regiment of Foot and various local Militia units from the Province of Munster.

He was Edgar Philip Conway per the army list. Adjutant 3rd Battalion, Royal Munster Fusiliers. The Kerry Militia, as KGarrad says.

Thanks again Max, surprised how much info is on him.

Apologies, should have asked earlier, when did the Kerry Militia become the RMF?

Thanks, I did read that , however there is a photo approx 1910, that refers to Kerry Regt. It has Capt Conway included.
Thanks again.

This is how the 3rd Battalion is described in the 1910 Army List. "The Kerry Regiment" probably still survived as an alternate name:

Thank-you Shaun.
-
Example:
"THE KERRY REGIMENT
Last night the officers of the 3rd Battalion R M Fusiliers (the Kerry Regiment) gave a most successful ball in the barracks, Ballymullen ......."
(Kerry Evening Post, 21 June 1913, page 3)

Another example from the paper:
Kerry Evening Post. - Saturday 10 October 1914, page 2
THE KERRY MILITIA
We understand that the 3rd Battalion, Royal Munster Fusiliers (the old Kerry Regiment) which has been living under canvas in the Barrack Square, Ballymullen for some weeks past, will be removed to Cork at the end of the present month…..
