So that means no changes at the moment, just an update re cases etc.

Let's hope they get things right, apparently Boris Johnson got really muddled today at a televised interview and had to apologise. "Boris Johnson has apologised and said he "misspoke" when asked to clarify details of new tighter coronavirus restrictions in north-east England ."

Have they said a time yet please for the briefing as I’d like to try and catch that. As someone in the 7 affected North east counties, I like many others are still puzzled at the lack of clarity to the latest changes re who can meet up with whom and where. Now it doesn’t affect us really as apart from Us still being allowed to do childcare for Eldest daughter , we have no one else to meet as other daughter lives down south and we know that’s not allowed!

I've watched both local news programmes (Look North and TyneTees) and read lots of info, but I'm not sure that anyone is really clear about what we can and can't do. It's seems to me that it's policy on the hoof - a bit like 'what shall we do today'   :(

I see it was a bit of carpentry and brick work today   :-X

"With the Chief Medical Officer for England Chris Whitty and the Chief Scientific Officer Sir Patrick Vallance".

or, as one paper called them recently, The Chuckle Brothers!!

What is this use of 'misspoke' all about? Have we always talked like this or surely its an Americanism for 'got it wrong' or even 'lied'. I thought Boris's grasp of the English language was one thing to be admired - another illusion crushed.  :'(

I heard a great remark on "today" this morning re the rebirth of Spitting Image (sadly not on free tv). The man doing some of the voices, including Trump, Starmer and Johnson said of the latter, "His mouth runs faster than his brain!". ;D
