I have attached a clip from the marriage register and a clip from the death register of Thomas Waller who was married to a Mary Currie.
Thomas's father was John Waller (or Wallace) but his mother's name I cannot make out on either sheet.
I know her christian name is Jane but the surname looks like it could be Husband or Hasbean but other than that I'm stuck.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

It does look like Hasbean or maybe Hashean? on the first part but the second looks like Husband.

Was this the family in 1851 living in Old Monkland?
John Wallar 28 Sinker Pits England
Jane Wallar 30 England
Ann Wallar 8 England
Debora Wallar 5 England
Hannah Wallar 3 New Monkland, Lanarkshire
Thomas Wallar 1 Old Monkland, Lanarkshire
As two children were born in England I wondered if this might be Debora and Ann?? :-\

In 1861 the parents had a son James born 1860 Parkhead, Lanarkshire which could match this birth on Anc.
James Waller
Birth 10 Feb 1860 - Bridgeton,Glasgow,Lanark,Scotland
Father John Waller
Mother Jane Hislop
Kay
Added - I think might have died in 1861 with his surname listed as Wallace
James WALLACE age 2 mothers maiden name Hyslop - Bridgeton
And his sister Deborah also married with the surname Wallace to Archibald Turner in 1867 - mother listed as Jane Hislop - but she couldn't sign her name I have also just noticed that Thomas Waller married as Thomas Wallace in 1868 to Mary Currie

The image of the marriage is on Find My Past
Married on 9th April 1842 at Shincliffe, Durham
John Waller, platelayer, father Thomas Waller labourer
Jane Heslop, father Thomas Heslop, pitman
Witnesses are Richard Heslop and James Douglas?

There is a death for a 40 yr old Jane Waller/Hislop in 1861:
Jane HISLOP/WALLER
Age 40
Mother's maiden name KELLOT
1861
644/2 1328
High Church
Likely just after the census that Kay posted earlier from 1861.

Were there any potential family acting as witnesses when Thomas married? With both parents showing as deceased when he married, you should be able to also find his father's death reg on SP. Always worth checking parents' death regs to see who reported their deaths.

I wonder if this is Jane and family in 1841 living in Shincliffe with brother Richard Heslop and father Thomas Heslop who was a coal miner

Many thanks to everyone who responded - I never expected so many suggestions!
The family were living in Old Monkland in 1851 & 1861 but I can't find any trace after that.
I can't get my head around Hislop or Heslop from the 2 names on the registers which are completely different.
I will - eventually - get to the library to check who reported the parents deaths on the SP site.
Many thanks to all!

Thomas Waller his wife and six children are still living in Old Monkland in the 1881 census.
