Caroline UDALE c 1872 and husband Frederick c 1875 baptised their daughter Sarah Annie at KIngs Norton 22 January 1899 (Sarah Annie died that year). That is the last record I can find of them together.
Caroline and Frederick were married in 1893 at Wirksworth Derbyshire. Their marriage certificate was modified in 1897, she had been entered as Annie Yeomans Davis and had signed with that name. She became Caroline with father Joseph EMERY a Boot maker. This fits well with an 1881 record at Stourbridge. There is a marriage of a Caroline UDALE to a John DAVIS at Walsall in 1888.
Now Frederick UDALE can be fitted to to a Frederick UDOLLORESS shown at Cheltenham in the 1901 Census, born Montreal Canada ( In the 1911 census born Wirksworth). The name UDOLLORESS created by Frederick is unique. Frederick went on to marry a Keziah HIGGINS in 1902.
I have been unable to find any evidence of Caroline c 1872 after 1899. Was Frederick escaping from a marriage when he became UDOLLORESS?
Thoughts and advice would be very welcome.

This marriage certificate -
"...Caroline and Frederick were married in 1893 at Wirksworth Derbyshire."
Can you please list all the information on this document...for Caroline and for Frederick....all ages, occupations, dates etc......also names of witnesses.
What, exactly, is the notation, 1897...with name change.
How is the authorisation for this amendment recorded.
For this marriage -
"..Frederick went on to marry a Keziah HIGGINS in 1902."
How is frederick described....widow...bachelor....divorced?

Have you found Caroline in 1891?

Worth having a look at the newspaper archive for Frederick Udollloress . There are a few articles in the Gloucestershire papers in September 1906. A candidate objected to him being on the electoral register as he was an alien (an American subject). Defence was that he was born in Ontario, his mother was a Derbyshire woman and his father a British subject, but that he had since lived in America, though not voting there nor taking out letters of naturalisation. His vote was allowed.
One article states that he came to this country in order to undertake part of the installation work for the Cheltenham Light Railway Company. Does this square with the records you have for Frederick Udale?

There is a marriage of a Caroline UDALE to a John DAVIS at Walsall in 1888.
It's Caroline Emery / John Davis , marriage 1888 Walsall.

Caroline seemed to be recorded as Yeomans, but appears to sign as Annie Newmans Davis at marriage in 1893. Just for information.

It's Caroline Emery / John Davis , marriage 1888 Walsall.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2DDT-4SQ
Caroline Emery must have married Edward Joseph Hardwick (not John Davis)
Here they are in Walsall in 1891
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:W39V-1ZM
Birth of William
HARDWICK, WILLIAM COLIN
Mother's Maiden Surname: EMERY
GRO Reference: 1889 M Quarter in WALSALL Volume 06B Page 667
And in 1901, Caroline Hardwick, 31, born Walsall.
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XSWM-VDY
Birth of Elsie
HARDWICK, ELSIE MAY
Mother's Maiden Surname: EMERY
GRO Reference: 1892 J Quarter in WALSALL Volume 06B Page 768
So it's a different Caroline Emery!

Yes, marriage is on F M P to Mr Hardwick. Her father was Jonas.

Just in case you do not have this. In the 1881 census Frederick has been transcribed as Frederic Eldale and is in Winksworth. Given that he can seemingly be located in all censuses the North America connection is fictional - obvious question is why ?

Thank you all for showing interest in my enquiry.
I have already tried the avenues suggested so far.
In 1895 before the changes made to the 1893 marriage register The first child of the marriage Carrie was registered by mother C (presumably Caroline) UDALE
Wivenhoe you will see Mckha has answered your query for me. Mckha I have searched the 1891 census for Caroline as either an EMERY or a DAVIS again with out success.
Early days for my enquiry and I live in hope.
Thank you ALL!!
