Hi
I'm looking for help with Annie Adelaide Sillett (baptised 22/04/1888 Whitton daughter of Frederick William Sillett and Harriet (nee Finbow)
She appears to have emigrated to Canada in 1914 a year after her sister Emma, but then I get stuck
I think she married a George Topham in 1922 in Edmonton, but there appears to be others with the same name and I'm not sure where george originates from.
I think she may have returned to England in 1925, but family stories say she returned to Canada and possibly died 1966.
She may have had a son, but I can find no records in Canada for her, a son or her husband. I also cannot locate a death for her
All help would be really appreciated

Cathy
This looks like a census not a marriage. She had the name Topham in 1925, travelling to and from England.
-
Canada marriage indexes have her marriage in 1922 in Edmonton to George.
Alberta records only go to 1942, so later marriage to Hartley would not show?
-
There is a newspaper snippet - I can’t access it all:
14th July 1937 - The Bystander, London
“The Master of the Temple performed the marriage at the Temple Church between Christopher Hartley, son of Brig.-Gcn. Sir Harold and Lady Hartley, of Bosslane, Ilughenden, Bucks., and Anne Sitwell, daughter of the late ...”
Free BMD
June quarter 1937
Christopher H Hartley and Ann Sitwell
** also shows name as Constance A Sitwell
-
There is a birth in 1913, Hemel Hempstead for Constance A Sitwell with mmn Talbot
So maybe Annie Adelaide didn’t marry Christopher Hartley :-\

Did she die as Hartley, or in Hartley?
-
Realised I pressed modify button and deleted the death of Wallace son of George & Annie Topham and added the other 1930 death ::)
Have re added the link
death 30 Sept 1925 Oshawa, Ontario age 8 months 22 days
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JF5S-LTR
EDIT - Wrong George & Annie Topham
-
Perhaps a different Christopher Hartley though?
-
The published tree I have seen just mentions ‘Chris Hartley’ - no other details.
I just wondered if someone had mistaken the marriage details.

I think she married a George Topham in 1922 in Edmonton, but there appears to be others with the same name
I'm not sure where george originates from.
I think you will need to purchase 1922 marriage to confirm George’s fathers name and then you should be able to find him on 1891,1901 & 1911 UK census with his parents

There is an Annie Sillett born 1889 already in Edmonton 1921 - arrived 1914 according to this census - servant (housework) for the Dickins family.
