Try as I might I can't find this family.
I am looking for Richard Bowker with wife Elizabeth (nee Egerton) They married in 1901 and had children Martha Anne 1903, James 1904, Herbert 1905, Lena 1908 and Frank Percy 1914 in Fleetwood Lancashire.
Any help would be much appreciated

Sorry but Rootschat does not allow 1911 lookups
In 1901 Richard Bowker is visiting the Egerton family. Shown as aged 40 and born Winsford (1860)
Elizabeth Egerton was 19 also b Winsford (1882)

Seemingly with only 1 Bowker/Egerton recorded marriage between 1880-1920 is this possibly another child.
Births Jun 1917
Bowker Nellie Egerton Bridgwater 5c 433

They certainly moved around John ;D

I think Both Elizabeth & Richard were younger than shown in 1901 - see 1939 register entry
Births June qtr 1865 - Richard Bowker - Northwich 8a 253 - mmn was Woodward
There is also a birth in same qtr in Shrewsbury - mmn Vaughan
George Bowker & Martha Woodward married 1862 Northwich & 1871 shows Richard b Over Cheshire
1881 Martha has remarried to Joseph Vickers - Richard again shown as b Over Cheshire
Still no luck finding them in 1911 ???

A baptism Gladys for would give you an address or her birth certificate that might help - I have to say I’ve tried all manner of combinations on family search but nothing ???
Edit to add or a baptism for Ethel (see Rosie post)

Hi daljul, your opening request was for finding the family in 1911, which on the face of things has proved very elusive. Are you wanting ANY details of their children post this date.

Thanks but I have that information. I am just trying to fill in the details of the family through the census years. I am puzzled as to where they were for the 1911. I can only think that the family was mis transcribed !!!
-
As suggested you may need the birth certificates or baptisms of the two girls born either side of the 1911 to locate the address they were living at. You originally suggested Fleetwood but they do not appear to have moved there until after the birth of Ethel in 1912 Stafford registration district

rosie, it appears that is the only solution for this , and even that could be a dead end. The whole family ie Richard & Elizabeth, their children Herbert,Lena, Gladys, Ethel May and Frank Percy all married in th Fylde area. Marha & James died pre 1911 so will not be with them in 1911. They were living at 14 Charles St, Over until at least 10.4.1903 when Martha was buried.
Moving on to other things but hope your searching ends successfully

Hi Dinkey. A few late comments!
I too tried to find them in 1911, but like everybody had no success. I noted the observations that the family certainly moved around, which as a retired Builder I would expect that of Richard as a Bricklayers Labourer, who has to follow the work. He cannot jump in a car and go 5,10 miles or so every day, and as the Labourer he is expected to set the job up for the Bricklayers at day start, scaffolding, bricks, mortar etc in place.
The wide range of Birth locations obviously suggests the family are with him, but any short duration jobs make it hard to get settled accommodation, hence adding to the difficulty of being on the 1911 Census.
They will be there but could be anywhere I am afraid.
Cheers.

Thanks Long Tom
I am rather coming to that conclusion myself and that is why I am struggling to find them. I will put this family on the back burn er for now.
Also thanks to everyone who has tried to help

There will always be those that got missed, the 1911 is no different to the earlier census. Much like electoral registration some people don't complete forms even if someone is knocking on their door to pick them up.
