Title: Amazon Fire Tablet won't access the SD card
Post by: Latchfordian on Friday 16 October 20 14:11 BST (UK)
I've added a 15GB SD card to my Amazon Fire tablet but it will not use it. Checking Settings/Storage shows that it is there and that it should be used to store everything (Downloads, Installs, Photos etc). No matter what I do I can't get it to store anything on that card. When the main memory is nearly full it comes up with "Insufficient storage", even though there is 15GB waiting to be used on the empty SD card! Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Have you read the guidance at https://liliputing.com/2020/07/use-sd-card-amazons-fire-tablets.html  ?

Thanks for the link Greenrig. I've read it all but I'm afraid it hasn't solved my problem. Some of the things it mentions don't appear on my tablet and those that do don't work as stated. I guess I'll have to hope that a future software update fixes the problem. By the way, I know the SD card is OK as it works fine in my phone. Thanks again for your reply.
