Hi
I have found a burial at Whitchurch dated 2/9/1821 for Samuel Aston. Does anyone have access to monument inscriptions? I am unsure the church but would it be St Alkmunds? I assume if the Will is not not shown under the results for Staffordshire, Dioceses Of Lichfield And Coventry Wills And Probate on FindMyPast none exists. I will be overjoyed if this is not the case!!
Thanks
Eric

Hi
My Aston ancestors came from the black country area. Samuel was born in Kingswinford 1742 and, as an Excise Officer lived in Lancashire and Shropshire, (as an Excise Officer he could not work in his own county). He married a widow Mary Rossall in Shropshire 1768. His son, John, married an Ann Penryn, from Shropshire, in London 1798, who's line contains the family names, Latewood, Darbyshire and Stringer

Eric
