I have Eunice Charlotte Watkins born 1897 Varteg, Monmouthshire father George H Watkins born Forest of Dean circa 1868/1869. In1914 Eunice marries James Williams at Newport, Monmouthshire.
We know that by 1920 she has died but we can not find a death record for her,can anyone help with her death?

Death
Apr/May/Jun 1926 Pontypool - Eunice C Williams age 28.
A little later than you thought.

Thank you so very much, her husband James Williams emigrated to Australia in 1920 and indicated on his passport that he was a widower in 1920. Another enigma. Apparently James and Eunice had two children Thomas George or Thomas Henry born in 1916 and another son. James came back to Wales and took both sons back to Australia with him circa 1919. but i can only find James and one son Thomas George on passenger list for 1929 sailing to Freemantle address Cullen Bullen.

I have looked at the passenger list in 1929 to which I think you refer.
Per Vedic 1929
WILLIAMS, James, third class passenger from Liverpool to disembark Sydney NSW. Address in Australia Cullen Bullen
Williams Thomas George. As above.
No ages or other identifying information .
Cullen Bullen is a small town in NSW 130 km north of Mudgee.
I cannot say with certainty at this stage that these two people of your family, however there is this sad news item which may be about them at Cullen Bullen and the age of the lad is similar to the one you have given for Thomas George.
An apparent suicide.

There is chance this 1954 application for probate is about the will of your James WILLIAMS.
The will was written in 1952 by James WILLIAMS of Cullen Bullen
Tom PETERS, the applicant and executor was the keeper of the General Store in Cullen Burren in 1954.
Nora Margaret PETERS was of the same address and possibly his wife.

Proctors for the executors had offices in Newcastle which makes me wonder if this this is the correct death??
WILLIAMS James
Reg 28248/ Year 1952
Father James
Mother Rhoda
At WALLSEND
All a bit of guessing!

Here is a news item which does hold the connection to show it is the right man whose will is discussed above.
An inquiry into the death of the boy gives some information about James, his father.

Hi One and all, need an eye test i think. I have now located the Reply button and able to respond. .Thank you all for the information given on Eunice Charlotte Watkins, We had thought she died in 1920, which was the date James Williams emigrated on his own to Australia. On the inquest January 1933 James states that two of his sons came to Australia 3 years ago, another enigma, what ever happened to the 2nd son?
Thanks once again you have all been a great source of information.
Very best
Ken
