Hi i’m looking for a lady called Lynne, not sure of her married name or even if she is married.
Her parents were called Lloyd and Mary Ellwood and they lived in the Stanhope, Durham area.
Lynne had an uncle called George Arthur Ellwood who was my grandad and lived in Cornwall for many years before his death. I would like to contact Lynne regarding some family history items she might be interested in.

Welcome to Rootschat bkel :D
We cannot do anything regarding living people however we may be able to give you enough from deceased family members for you to trace on down.
Here is George's death registration
ELLWOOD, GEORGE ARTHUR 1910
GRO Reference: DOR Q4/2002 in St Austell (3671B) Reg 4D Entry Number 126
I'll see what else I can find that may assist.

I have found what is most likely to be Lynne.
Her parents married in the 1940s and Lynne's birth is during that period.
There is a marriage for Lynne which is probably her.
Stick to Durham when searching the records on free bmd:-

I can't send you a private message as you have not made enough replies. Once you have gone past three replies then a private message can be sent to you.

Did some more checking and I find that Lynne had an older brother born in the 1940s. I checked the 192 website and it seems that he may well still be alive living in Durham.
You might be able to find Lynne via her brother.
If you do Facebook you may be able to find either of them through that.
As Sarah has mentioned you need to press the Reply button to make your response.

Hi, didn’t know that Lynne had a brother. I’m afraid i don’t use any form of social media so could be a problem. It was just a thought but i probably won’t be able to go any further with this now, unless you can advise me in any way to help.
Thanks
-
If you can make another reply here I should be able to send you a private message known as a pm. Hopefully I can give you enough to try and make contact with the brother or any of his family. They may be able to lead you to Lynne.
-
I've done a little more poking about and found some REALLY USEFUL information. It's very current as well.
As I said before, if you make another reply I should be able to send you a pm.
-
That sounds good, i would like to be able to track the family down and your help is being very much appreciated. Look forward to hearing back from you.

Glad to have been of help and let me know how you get on. Just pop the information on here, no need for a pm.
Just use the Ellwood name rather than any first names.
-
Will do, i’ve written a letter and sent it off, will let you know if outcome.
Thank you once again for your help, this has come about so quickly.
Best wishes.

Hi. I’ve now had a response back from the Ellwood family after sending them a letter. I have managed to talk to Lynne now on the phone and we have caught up with family history which we didn’t know about over the years.
Thank you so much for your help with this it really has been a great help. Regards. Brian

That's great news Brian. ;D You obviously got a good response to your letter then. You can never tell what sort of reaction you are going to get when you contact someone.
In your case it was good news ;D ;D ;D
You will have to make sure that you keep in contact with the family now that you have found them.
May I wish you all the best for your future relationship with them.
