I wonder if anyone could do a lookup on the Electoral roll of 1945-50 of Agnes McGovern living at I believe Longsight Street Heaton Norris Stockport during this time. I just want to know how long she lived there and if she was still living with her parents at that time. She was born c1923.
Thank you.

Some information about Stockport ER's.

Thank you chempat. So does this mean that Heaton Norris records only go up to 1912 and are not included in the Stockport Borough records?

Try for more information here:

I am just doing internet searches on Electoral rolls for the area.

thanks chempat. I have looked at the local library facilities and because of the current situation the libraries are closed so I cannot view anything at the library at all. I wondered whether anyone would have access to the electoral rolls for that area for that time period at all close to hand. Many thanks again.

Hi
Unlikely anybody would have ER's for that period & area at their disposal other than by visiting the records office or library.
-
Where was she born as there is no birth 1923. Births 1917/18/23
-
Scotland?
Or Ireland?
-
Thanks for all the replies. She was born in Ireland.

Were her parents John and Isabella?
2A Longsight Street Stockport.

Thank you Carol8353. I'm not sure thats what I am trying to find out, she was my great Aunt and I found that record of John and Isabella at 2A Longsight street so wanted to find out if they moved to number 30, if that makes sense. However, I did find a record for John McGovern of the same birth date on a record for the Royal Air Force in 1917 but there is nothing else. It directs you to a FOLD3 site. As I don't know what information is held on that record I'm reluctant to pay for it as it might not be worth my while. I wonder if anyone on here has any access to FOLD3?

It says the record goes up to 1940 but he would have been 68 then.

I am not sure I am following this very well :)
There is a 1941 death in Stockport for John McGovern b 1872.
He therefore wouldn’t be there 1945-1950.Isabella b 1884 died in 1959.
Do you have Agnes in Stockport at any time?
