Would it be possible for someone to lookup an obit for Madeline Mary A. ROBERTS who died in Taunton on 16 January 2017. Many thanks, Nikkei

Do you know that an obituary was published? Have you checked which would be the most likely newspaper to put it in?
Cannot see anything here, it may show 12 months, reset to All, but goes back further:

Probate shows the 'A' is Anita.
Have you found her in 1939 register?

There was a Madeline Mary living in Bruton, presumably the same lady?
Possibly born as Owen and married in Taunton district in 1959. Husband probably still living.

If that is the correct couple, there is a report of the wedding in the Taunton Courier, and Western Advertiser 14 March 1959.

Thanks so much to everyone. This is most certainly her. I have never seen the wedding photo, nor the article in the paper; much, much appreciated. Her husband died in 1992 in Taunton; arrangements made by Taunton Crematorium. Perhaps I should contact them to see if they also handled her arrangements. Perhaps there wasn't an obituary... I could only find the probate on FindMyPast. Nikkei

Her maiden name was Owen; I will look for her in the 1939 register.

I tried looking for her in 1939.
If her parents are William and Mabel, and she has a brother Raymond, then her entry is still redacted.
Can see death for probable husband, just there appears to be man of same name and approx. age in same area - related or co-incidence.

Her husband was Grenville John Roberts who died 1 April 1992. Madeline did have one brother.

Accompanying that wedding photo the information is given that the groom is the eldest son of Mr & Mrs Jack Roberts of Newton Abbot.
If you are assuming the birth is of Grenville J Roberts in 1931 with mmn Horswill, his is the only birth for Roberts/Horswill showing on free bmd.
Also, the only marriage of a Roberts/Horswill is of George H Roberts to Louisa M Horswill in Truro in 1929.
Now, the paper could easily have the information wrong, and Jack could just be a nickname, but it does need checking out in more detail.

This is all correct. Grenville John was "adopted" by his father's brother and raised as his son. This is from my own personal knowledge.

Just to "end" the story. The Taunton Crematorium confirmed to me by email that Madeline was cremated by them and her remains place in the Garden of Rest on 02/02/2017 (as were her husband's in 1982). Thanks to everyone who helped me. I can only assume there was no obituary published.
