"Could anyone advise where i may find photos of my Great Uncle George Parry from WW1 Flanders?" As it is War Memorial time of year , i am pondering on my Great Uncle George . I do have war info on him ie; He Died aged 19 in 1917 at Flanders Belgium. What i would like is a photo of him in uniform, as i don't have family photos of him. Any help would be appreciated and thank you .

Unless any member of your family has one or if possibly one was printed in a local newspaper when he died - most unlikely you will find any

CaroleW is right in what she says. Photos were not taken as a matter of routine in those days.

Local Newspapers posted casualty lists, throughout the War, and printed obituaries and photographs that relatives provided. The British Newspaper Archive Website, might be good place to start, especially if You can place the Town from where He enlisted.
