Trying to obtain BC (or any other info) for C  Stevenson. born 1940's, Hitchin, Herts.
Father - Edward Stevenson. b 1920
Mother - Iris Drake. b 11 Dec 1927 Wandsworth, London.
Carole was adopted out of the family about 1940's.

You have the details for her birth, to get a copy you need to apply to the GRO  £11.

I'm intrigued by the fact that the parents married in Newcastle (1944) and their daughter was born over 240 miles away in Hitchin.

Was Edward's job one that required moving about?

Edward was in the Royal Navy.
Iris was living in Newcastle with her father - RAF

Ah, so that explains that then.

If you already know who Carole's parents are, what are you expecting the birth certificate to tell you?

Do you know what her adopted name is or are you hoping her birth certificate will tell you that?

I don't know what information is added to the original BC when a child is adopted if any.

It is wanted by niece said Carole.
Carole is the sister of her father.
I'm not sure what she expects it to show her.
Her father was my cousin.
