Hi everyone, I'm just looking through some of the information I have on a relative of mine, Uriah Halsall. With some help I've found lots of info on him but I've not found any obituary. I know most people back then didnt have one but I thought it was worth asking just incase. This is Uriah's death certificate;

Date and Place of Death: 20th Dec 1859, 5 Woodville Terrace, Weston, Everton.
Name and Sex: Uriah Halsall, male Age: 84 years
Occupation: Gentleman Informant Name: Uriah H Jones
Informant Address: 94 Chatsworth Street, West Derby.
Qualification: Present at death Date of Registration: 23rd Dec 1859
Causes of Death: Bilious Fever 8 Weeks, Retention of Urine 6 Weeks
He is buried at St Mary’s Church, Walton on the Hill, Liverpool
Grave Number: 9 3/20B Date of Interment: 26th December 1859
He left effects of below £450 in his Will.

Couldn't find an obituary on Uriah Halsall, from online Newspapers, but there are a number of articles regarding the Death Informant, Uriah Halsall Jones. He was a Liverpool Builder, whose Business went into Administration.

On 4th January 1860 the death of Uriah Halsall on 20th ult. at Everton age 85. in Northern Daily Times. Appeared in the DEATHS column.

As he had not been found, I decided to look for deaths in January 1860, using just Uriah.
F M P has him as HaNall, as does BNA.

Just for interest - Uriah H Jones (Coal Merchant) has moved into 5 Woodville Terrace by the time of the 1861 census - RG9/2715 folio 58 page 20.
