Title: Jewish Adoption
Post by: wayne69 on Sunday 22 November 20 10:43 GMT (UK)
Hello,
I'm helping a friend who is researching their family tree. I have discovered that there is an adopted child, born early sixties, who was brought up in Liverpool. The family were Jewish and I was wondering if there are any records or archives pertaining to this adoption.
                      Many Thanks

If the child was legally adopted there will be records.

If your friend is a direct relation it may be interesting to do a dna test

My mothers grandfather was jewish

our dna matches on that side are hard to trace by name becuause of spelling changes and anglisiation of names
but DNA gives srong leads

Thanks brigidmac; unfortunately, the adopted child that I'm looking for is not a blood relative of my friend, as far as I know.
