Title: HMS Avenger WW2
Post by: Pricey4848 on Sunday 22 November 20 21:20 GMT (UK)
My father in law FX86475 James Parkes (From Manchester) served aboard HMS Avenger when the carrier was sunk on 15/11/1943.

My mother in law has never seen a photo of her dad James so we would appreciate any advice how we could gather further information and ideally although not optimistic of finding a photo of him.

Any info or suggestions welcome......

The 1939 Register has a man with the same name living in Stockport working as a General Labourer Aircraft. Although married his wife is not at the same address.
