any information please on William Chick born 1821 Guernsey.d 1865 he married Elizabeth French, but would like to know his parents please. or any other information.thanks

You do not appear to have checked your information via census entries before posting? He wasn't born in Guernsey. 1851 shows Devon & 1861 shows England. Both censuses are available on Family Search
Where did you get Elizabeth's maiden name of French from?
If you look up the son's birth on freebmd then check GRO online - mmn was not French - it was Pinney - see 1842 marriage on freebmd
Buying a copy of the marriage cert will give you his fathers name - or check freereg in case it has been transcribed

Going by the 1851 census place of birth is Thorncome Devon
There is a possible baptism

Elizabeth has remarried to William Fletcher by 1871 - also has son William Chick b 1864 - mmn French
There are 2 William Chicks in Guernsey - both born 1819/20 and both with wives called Elizabeth. Both were born England
In 1871 - Elizabeth (now Fletcher) is 30 b England
In 1861 - Elizabeth Chick is b 1831 England
In 1851 - Elizabeth Chick is b 1820 Devon

How do you know William Chick was b 1820 Guernsey?

The William Chick in Guernsey was, as stated in 1851, a Cordwainer (shoemaker) born Thorncombe, Devon, (as already mentioned) with wife Elizabeth bc.1820 with son John 7 - William Chick, son of Henry, married Elizabeth Pinney (dau.of George) 19/5/1842 Hawkchurch, Devon.
The William there in 1861 was a Porter - either this was another William (wrong occupation plus this Elizabeth was 10 years younger than the Elizabeth in 1851) or his first wife Elizabeth died between 1851-1861 and he subsequently remarried to Elizabeth French by 1861 (and changed his occupation).
The son John Chick was bp.20/8/1843 Chard, Somerset - can't find him in 1861 but in 1871 he is in Southampton - a Boot Closer - with a wife Mary and dau. Mary who were both born in Guernsey so presumably he married in Guernsey. Still in Southampton 1881 with 3 more children whose birth entries on GRO states mmn was Dale.

In your opening post you say William Chick was b 1820 Guernsey & died 1865.
You now say he was b 1817 & died in Devon in 1867
Check freebmd - there is no William Chick death in Devon in 1867.
Also - if he died in Devon in 1867 - how come Elizabeth is remarried & still in Guernsey in 1871? Have you checked where she remarried - nothing on freebmd so assume it was Guernsey
The first census Ellen Mary appears on is 1871 by which time Elizabeth has remarried?
Have you looked at the census entries quoted earlier?
