Title: RAF Calshot , what do these duties mean 1942.

My Father W,J,Jones was stationed for a short time at RAF Calshot and on his records it stated  Duties or Branch of Service as  A.C.H. u/t Inst.Rep and his Archive Ref as Air28_124  (can one advise me what these references mean please. His Rank was AC2 ,(I am aware what this means and his service number was 924665

Inst/Rep = Instrument repairers

ACH appears to have various meanings, depending on which part of the RAF.

ACHU - Aircrew Holding Unit

ACH u/t - Aircraft Holding Unit

or:-   ACH: Aircrafthand (a mustering or trade)

Thank you both your replies, they do make a lot of sense as RAF Calshot was also a seaplane base so no runways. I found a lovely site on the base. I just wish my Father and talked about his time there.
