Jane McKenzie was born 14th May 1840 in Loth. She had a daughter (also called Jane) in Helmsdale in 1865. The father is listed as "unknown". Jane came from a large family of McKenzies and her mother was a Bruce.

After the birth of young Jane, she married John Kennedy (A commercial traveller) after the birth of her daughter.

Long shot, but looking for a possible father of Jane jnr please?

With father listed as "unknown" - impossible task unless there are any maintenance payment records  Did Jane jnr give a fathers name when she married?

Should your subject header be Jane McKenzie b Helmsdale 1865 as it is her paternity you are looking for - not her mothers?
