I am having trouble finding children of Hector Rex McGregor Fairlie (deceased).
Hector was born in 1911 in India, he came to the UK in 1920 age 9.
In 1934 he married Margaret E Llewellyn. She died in 1957. One child was Michael John Macgregor Fairlie (deceased) born Jan 1943.
Hector had another partner called Nadia Caroline van Brock ( Deceased), I haven't found a marriage for them yet but she did call herself Mrs Fairlie.
Family members remember a daughter.
The year range is missing from GRO which obviously would have helped.
I have found Hector and Margaret in Wandsworth 1939, I have found him in the telephone directory in 1952 in Cheam.
He has lived in Putney, Cheam and Epsom.
Please could you help me find .

ADDED If he was in the armed forces in WW2 it is likely he is not on the 1939 register

Probate index 1977 has his address as 17 York Avenue, New Milton, Hants - do you have the will as it could give details of the family

The gazette piece names a daughter you can see on freeBMD was born in 1962.
And has a different name.
Also in the gazette is a man in Wiltshire.

Nadia was his 2nd wife, his 1st wife was Margaret Llewellyn, they married in 1934, she died in 1957.

I found a male with the correct surnames marrying in Perth Scotland 1961.

THe Wiltshire one has died. I cannot see a birth in England.

It doesn't help with them switching between MacGregory and McGregory.

from my research, Llewellyn is her maiden name.

Hi why are you looking for children of Hector Rex? The one who lived at 17 york avenue didn't have a son named Brian unless he had a secret life.
