Title: Linking others to family tree ?
Post by: Nifty1 on Thursday 31 December 20 17:07 GMT (UK)
I was on Ancestry for a couple of years and have developed a bit of a tree there.
I have recently encounter another person who may be distantly related to me.
I would like know if it is possible to link him  to view via his e-Mail address ?

I may have this wrong (if so someone will correct me) but I think it is only possible to manage your tree i.e. share it etc if you have a current subscription.

A lapsed sub only allows you to look at your tree.

Thanks for that Pheno
It would seem to be the logical answer to me, but, one never knows what others may know.
Here is to a better year than the last
 Happy New Year to all

AncestryDNA (if you have done a test) will allow another to look at your tree via invitation, if that's what you mean!

I have not got a current subscription to Ancestry but can still invite people to look at the trees I have there.  Also, I can still receive and reply to messages.

You can invite people to look at your tree without having a subscription, in fact about the only thing you can't do is look at records and send messages, you can reply to messages.  If you have done a DNA test you can send messages to your matches.
