I have been trying to find out who i am where i come from, unfortunately i do not communicate with my family story there no need to say,
anyway here goes
my mas name was Patricia Nestor Heath, she was born in Australia her birth certificate says Alfred Sydney heath and Rita Agnes Le Conway as parents, she was taken from them and placed in a children's home in geelong,
other side is Halpin my grandfather died few years ago his name was Cyril Justin Halpin, his fathers name was Lawrence Robert halpin, I know Halpin side is from Louth but not much else,
I'm a spark short of bright so please go easy on me,

thank you everyone got a start, i did manage to go to a website about schools orphanges from when me ma was small and they have located her records kind of exciting,
your all awesome, looks like irish is my pas side me ma is more of a mix be interesting to knwo if she was adopted as i been told or if she wasnt and her rellies are a mix of diff places,
i have no idea why for all my life i been told dont ask qs and noone has been able to find anything,
your all awesome thank you i knew cyril as a child didnt see him much,
i was a state ward myself so been a journey to get my head in place to move along lol this site is awesome

thanks was a bust time last yr, i was in clockdown trying to do my studies im studying at moment also a solo mother, im deaf so thanks i did forget that post tho this ne does have a lot more,
mind been confuddled but its a new year so i thought id give this a go and see whats what, be cool if i could find some pics lol just cos im noey to see what people looked like, its school holidays so i suppose now christmas and new year are done my mind said lets do this,
though we do know more we ask often times we get more information, ill stay on one thread sorry i did 2 i did forget the other one, but was a crazy time when i did it lol

peter halpin is cyrils son my old man i dont call him dad he wasnt a dad, my main knwoledge of my family was him me ma and grandfather, me ma and old man split she , moved in with roy falconer who she was with till end of her life, tho she never divorced, peter is still alive in a rest home soemwhere in akl im in invercargill other end of the country lol
he has refused in the past to give me any info i have no idea why cos he boasts about having a tree, so im here and doing what i can , my oldest is due to have another baby in few months and been wanting to know stuff as well,
everyone on here is amazing thank you for years all i could do was find my mas headstone, then i managed get her death cert which had her folks name and as much info as anyone has been able to give me, i have no idea of why the secrecy nothing seems to be out there except yes my ma had a very horrid childhod as did i so nothing can shock me there, kind of dispointed theres no real reason for the secrecy lol everything seems to be just run of the mill family tree no exciting bad people or rebels lol im hoping oneday to find pics

will have been australia as far as i know, they met over there as they were living there, she was born there be around mebourne area, trying think how old my sibs are oldest from the 2 of them will be , maybe in the lates 50s ?? i am totally guessing though just goling by ages of sibs i was born 69 i THINK oldest is 10 or 11 years older than me, she had 2 she adopted before they met

thats interesting because she looks like shes looking for halpins from nz which is my part of the family, she stops at cyril who is my grandfather, i did send a pm hopefully she may reply ??
