Has anyone got knowledge of a Bollingbrook Farm or Swiss Cottage near the cemetery end of Macclesfield, known as Bollingbrook. Thanks! :-\

What is the timescale - current or past?

google maps have the area as 'Bollinbrook'.
If I remember right, the river through Macclesfield is the Bollin, so 'Bollinbrook', not 'Bollingbrook'.
North of Macclesfield cemetery.

Here they are - next door to each other - Swiss Cottage and Bollinbrook Farm.

Thanks for replies and correcting my spelling!
In 1939 Bollinbrook Farm, appears to be a dairy farm run by Mr & Mrs Brocklehurst.
And Swiss Cottage appears to be owned by cotton textile merchant John Walton.
In 1911 the Brocklehurst family from Staffordshire appear at Bollin Brook Farm, Upton, Cheshire - the research continues!

1881 as (52 acres) Bollin Lane Farm, Upton, Cheshire run by the Barber clan, parents of the family also from Staffordshire.

my friend's mother told him there were prefabs built on the land there, before the housing estates that are there now!

Hi all,
I've only just seen this as I was searching for the Bollinbrook farm too. I know the area that it was in, it's now flattened and has been a housing estate for at least 40 years now.
My 3 x Great Grandfather used to own the farm until his death in 1893. I don't know anything about it through the family as I'm the one researching it.
