I am in search for a marriage details of Florence Kathleen Bush to Reginald Shute in Ontario.
I believe this was 1927, I have Florence s parents etc and I know Florence Kathleen Bush was bn Norwich UK in 1908.
Her and her parents emigrated to Canada in 1910.
Trying to find where in Ontario they were married and lived.
Also trying to find there deaths.
Any help please.

Marriage took place 5th April 1927 is listed at Conway greater Napanee, Lennox and Addington Ontario.
She was 19 he was 26.
His father just listed as Mr Shute. With a note that he died when bridegroom small and first know his first name. Mother given as Mrs Young. His parish is given as Kingston county of Frontenac Ontario.

It is interesting that we have a "Uncle Shute" mentioned in the obit with a deceased wife Shirley.
Wondering if this Shute was the son of Reginald and Florence ?
This Shute is alive and living in Victoria British Columbia at the same address as recorded below.

I had a look in the OGS TONI database....looks like Allen Potter and Daisy M Potter are buried in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Frontenac County. Sandra has found other members of the family in this cemetery. Allen and Daisy don't show up on the findagrave site. The Kingston Branch of the OGS has the transcripts of the tombstones in this cemetery.

The Kingston OGS collection is housed in the Kingston Frontenac Public Library.
We are in lockdown here in Ontario and the libraries are only open for curbside pickup. I don't know if there are any librarians available to do genealogy lookups?? The OP could ask.

Thank you Sandra, I have just spent the last 3 hours trying to decipher all the details, but am having problems putting this all together in order to make it fit.
The problem i have and refer to on reply #14,

Florence Kathleen Bush father was George Watson Bush apparently died sometime between 1927-1932 according to the marriage of another daughter from a previous marriage here in the uk, recorded as " Father George Bush deceased". I have all details of the family living in the UK and also details of them emigrating to Canada etc 1909, he and his wife suffered the loss of many children.
Its possible i have missed something. My original request Florence Kathleen Bush - Reginald Shute 1927, fits in nicely at the start.
However, I feel i need a death for George Watson Bush.

Canada has very strict privacy laws, there are no BMD records as in the UK.
To try and find links to Florence Kathleen Bush and Reginald Shute, I have researched her brother and sister and also there children to see if there was ever a mention of Florence, Reginald and there children (it does look like they had a few) Also to see if the parents George and Nellie were ever mentioned in any obituary.
When you re-read everything you will find that Mrs Reginald Shute lived with George and Nellie Bush in 1940/1945 (so George cannot have died by 1932) ??? So I am afraid the information the daughter gave on her marriage to Clifford Pointer was incorrect.

We have already found a wealth of information but sadly nothing on Florence and Reginald or a confirmation of the deaths of George and Nellie.
Perhaps if you email Kingston Frontenac Public Library giving as many details as you are able, they may be able top find obituaries for George Watson and Nellie Bush or even Florence and Reginald.
It is possible that Dorothy Violet Kathleen Bush may have knowingly or unknowingly presumed her father was dead. This was not uncommon.
On a Canadian Passenger List - Dorothy Violet Kathleen Bush aged 13 years, departed London to St Johns New Brunswick arriving 29 March 1920 on the Sicialian. Going to Peterborough Ontario as a domestic.
On the Canada Ocean Arrivals Form (30A) it says her passage was paid by Dr Barnados Homes. She was going to Mr Hobday, Supt Of Barnados Homes Peterborough Ontario.
She was the granddaughter of Mrs Fox, 80 Hall Road, Lakenham. Norwich.
A UK return passenger list shows Dorothy V Bush - Dorothy V Bush born 1906 and aged 21 years. Departing Quebec and arriving Southampton England 6 July 1927 on the Empress of France.
She was a clerk. Going to 3 The Elms, Unthank Road, Norwich. Future intended residence :- England.
Have you contacted Dr Barnados ? They would have information on Dorothy in Canada. Her file would normally say if she had contact with her father.

Just checked the OGS TONI database for George W Bush in Frontenac county. There is a tombstone transcription for a George W Bush - Cataraqui Cemetery. I also checked for Nellie. There is a tombstone transcription for Nellie E Bush - Cataraqui Cemetery.

Yes - I think so too. :) :).
The Cataraqui cemetery transcripts should shed some light on this family. Unfortunately, the libraries are currently closed (except for curbside pickup) due to a shut down in Ontario. New, stricter rules are about to go into force on Thursday. Just heard about them today.
Perhaps Blue-Spirit should contact the cemetery directly? I don't know if there is anyone there who could help at this time, but their website says they will accept genealogical requests.

Wonder if we could find anything on the two sisters mentioned in this obituary RK - If Helen was a sister to brother "G" then her maiden name was Shute. The two sisters mentioned "G" & "N" ?

I did have a note that Gladys Shute born 1928 Kingston Frontenac was a daughter of Reginald and Florence and that she died in 1993 ? No idea of the married surname or where ?
This would have been a sister of Helen Shute/Caird/Baird.

Sounds promising. I looked back at James Frederick Watts obit and it says that he is the son of Frederick Watts and Gladys Shute.....I had written Grace.
If Gladys Shute married Frederick Watts, she could be the deceased Gladys mentioned in Helen Shute/ Caird/Baird's obit....who may have died in 1993 (according to your notes).
Just to get my head straight....these are the potential children for Reginald and Florence Shute? ...

Yes, those children seem to be correct according to that obit. The last name might be on facebook.
