Flashplayer needed to view this. Support ended from the end of December and from today 12 January 2021 it is blocked. It's therefore unlikely that anyone will be able to see this .... Sorry!

I think I saw somewhere that their IT is working on a new website because of flash being discontinued but I suppose like everything else Covid has slowed progress.

I have just viewed the Site, and everything is operating as normal. However, I was using one of My old Laptops that's running Windows 8.1 !

ADD: The problem seems to be with Android Devices, the Files don't open on My Android Tablet. Not tried it on Windows 10, yet.

That's sad, I was using it on Sunday.  However, FindMyPast has most of the parish records (and transcribed) on line so not all is lost.

The frustrating part is that the withdrawal of flash support was announced long ago yet so many websites waited until the last minute to even look at the consequences and many are now useless. We can only hope any new site they eventually create uses a decent size image view. I doubt it will be anytime soon though the process and hosting isn't done onsite so there could have been a lot done in recent months but I doubt there has been much beyond a discussion so far.

I asked Lincstothepast about this and their reply was:

"Unfortunately there isn't any other way to view the images on our Lincs to the Past site. We are looking at other ways of hosting our images. The baptism, marriage and burial records can be viewed on Find My Past."

I posted this last September when this issue was raised by a post in The Common Room --

Just had a response from Lincolnshire Archives :

''Many thanks for your email regarding the Lincs to the Past website. A new website to replace is being developed and is planned to go online by the end of the year.''

Sounds promising.

Obviously with the Covid situation, the promised revamp is running behind.

Great news - thanks for the info!

I posted yesterday that the records can be viewed on FindMyPast.  I guess that's why they are not in a rush to update their site.

I also received a reply from them." Unfortunately as flash player is no longer supported we are unable to show the images on our Lincs to the Past site. We are hoping to have a new platform to show the images on later this year.  Until then records can be viewed on Find my Past....."

As I cannot view through my library system, basically purchase membership or I am stuffed... :(

I'm sure there are many helpful people on here who would be happy to look things up for you.

Oh I know that Lizzie thank you. I just liked going through the "books" myself!
