Elizabeth Withers, born in July 1807, was registered at West Brom on 22 July 1807.
She was the daughter of Edward Weston Withers, whom I have discussed elsewhere.
She married Samuel Vallant, whom I mispelt elsewhere as Gallant, 6 Jan 1829.
It turns out he was not at all gallant, rather, a scoundrel instead, according to his 1844 Will.
In 1841 Elizabeth lived in Ravenhurst street with her mother, Elizabeth Withers whose husband had died in 1819.
In 1851 mother and daughter lived at 20 Bristol Rd, a victualler. Mother died there in 1853 and was buried at Key Hill. From a 1855 trade directory, daughter Elizabeth was still in Bristol street.
But when did Elizabeth Vallant die?
Ive tried FreeBDM, GRO and Ancestry to no avail. I have tried various spellings without any joy.
Thank you
