Mary Ann Hambling, not sure of time of birth, her brothers and sisters born late 1700 hundreds early 1800’s parents Samuel Hambling 1749-1833 & Elizabeth Knott 1760- 1835,Mary’s brothers & sisters born around IIkenshal, St, Andrew, Suffolk, England. Who did Mary Ann Hambling marry was it JOHN SANDALL or JAMES HONSAGE CLARK
A quick one why is the name Hambling spelt different? The father surname spelt Hambling son or daughter spelt Hamblin,Hamlin or Hembling. Is it the people's spelling that is at fault?
-
Could be the spelling or their hearing, they wrote it down as it sounded to the ear.
A family tree has both those husband for her - one in 1850 and one in 1851.
Those marriages should confirm her fathers name and if she was the same person.
Have you found her on the 1851 census?

Free BMD index has
Sep 1850 Mitford
Mary Ann Hambling and John Sendall on the same page - marriage 17 Sep 1850 Mary Ann a minor
Dec 1851 Mitford
Mary Ann Hambling and James Honsagoe Clarke on the same page
As you know if she was widowed after the first marriage she should have been marrying under the name Sendall so both those marriages need checking out.
-
The Mary married to James was born 1829 East Harling and the
Mary married to John was born 1831 East Dereham if that helps separate the two
Both ladies are with their respective husbands on later census so not the same lady marrying twice.
-
The 1850 marriage to John Sendall gives Mary Ann's father as Samuel occ Whitesmith
ADDED - the 1851 marriage has the father as Samuel occ Carpenter
-
......parents Samuel Hambling 1749-1833 & Elizabeth Knott 1760- 1835.
The Mary married to James was born 1829 East Harling and the
Mary married to John was born 1831 East Dereham if that helps separate the two
Both ladies are with their respective husbands on later census so not the same lady marrying twice.
So Elizabeth was aged about 70 when she had Mary Ann. That is quite a feat.
