I've spent quite some time looking for a Harry A G Crumpler b.1891 Wareham, Dorset as found on the 1901 census for a Joshua David Crumpler and Sarah Jane Guy. Finding no birth or death records for said child, I started wondering if he was indeed a Crumpler and not a baseborn child of Sarah Jane Guy. Which led me to a Harry Andrew Guy born in 1889 to a William and Sarah Jane Guy.
Which threw my whole family tree into confusion because I had assumed Sarah Jane was born Guy, but if she'd married William Guy, then perhaps not. So now I'm trying to find an 1891 census entry for a William Guy, with Sarah Jane as his wife and Harry Andrew as their son, somewhat fruitlessly.
Could someone please check if there is an entry for the above family.?
Thank you.

Harry shown as son of William Guy and Sarah is also in the household as daughter of William, who is a widower.

Sarah was the daughter of William and Elizabeth GUY, Elizabeth died in 1884.
Either in error or design Harry is recorded as son of William instead of grandson in the 1891 census. Quite common for an illegitimate grandchild to be recorded as child of grandparents in a census.

There is a transcription of a baptism for Harry Andrew Guy 25 Jan 1891 Wareham , son of William and Sarah Jane Guy in Select Dorset Church of England Parish Registers 1538 -1999. This transcription is contradicted by the entry in the Parish Register which originally read :
Harry Andrew son of William and Sarah Jane Guy of Church Lane , labourer. 25 Jan 1891
The words " Andrew" , "William " , and "labourer" have all been crossed through by the Vicar and the alteration is signed by him and noted " amended by me Feb 22 1891 ".

@BumbleB, @emeltom, @PaulineJ, @Jebber, @Christine53 - This is all fantastic thank you. And thank you BumbleB and PaulineJ for the links. Very pleased that I don't have to start again from scratch with my 'Guy' branch... I'd assumed that Harry was baseborn, but the entry with William as his father threw me...
Good to know Harry is the grandson, not the son..
Thank you all so much for your help. It's been greatly appreciated. :)
