I have these photos of my great grandparents, Doris (Todd) and Harry Thomas Linford. They both married, lived and died in (Rugby) Warwickshire. Harry served some time in the Royal Artillery during WWII, and later on raised money for local charities in a group called The Layabouts. I've been told that Doris was a nurse. It's believed that Harry had tuberculosis at some point in his life, he also suffered from angina and eventually a heart attack that resulted in his death. Doris continued to live in their home in Rugby until her passing to bowel cancer in the 90's.
I'd love to get a rough date estimate on these photos. The photos of Harry are relatively small, post card type, portraits with rounded edges. No information on the back unfortunately. Originally sepia.
Would also appreciate if someone could attempt to restore the photo of Doris (also post-card style, with rounded edges. Originally B&W.) It's one of the very few photos we have of her, but isn't in the best of conditions.
Apologies if the photos show too large, I'm not sure how to change that without decreasing the quality.

I would suggest that the first two of Harry could be 1920s....Doris possibly 1930s and the last one of Harry to be 1940s. The stamp boxes on the reverse of postcards are often useful dating tools, so where possible, it's a good idea to post the backs.

I think the photos look late 1930s-1940s. They just have that 'feel; about them :-\

I think there is the name of a Studio on the bottom left of Doris's photo but I can't make it out on the iPad, maybe you can make it out Gadget.

My grandma (their daughter) has a box full of documents and items that belonged to Harry. She told me today that she plans on retrieving the box and passing them down to me very soon, so I haven't had the chance to look at any birth or marriage documents yet.
That said, I did find some information online the other day that suggests he was indeed born in 1920. Is there a specific reason why you're asking? :)

Add - They married Sept Q 1940, Rugby

The only birth registration that fits is

Ahh, okay.
I have seen that birth registration before. It was August 29th, 1920.
A family member of mine just confirmed that August was his birth month.
A Mrs. (Elizabeth?) Tasker was listed as a parent.
I also came across a marriage registration for a Doris Todd, with a Harry T Linford listed as a possible spouse, also dated 1940.

The first two photographs of Harry were taken in November of 1940. Redding photographer, Rugby.
Cannot confirm the date for Doris' photo as there's a black paper backing,
but the text appears to read "Dorothy West, the Elaine something Studio, Rugby"
Another member on here helped me with a military document of Harry's, and found that he left for training in May of 1941. Given the heartfelt note written on Harry's photo (to Doris,) I can only assume that these photos were taken for each other almost as a parting gift.
