Thomas McLaren: born 09 Oct 1919, Leith, died (peritonitis) 04 Jun 1939, Edinburgh
(only son of Robert and Isabella whose photo you kindly restored for me in the last couple of days)
Apparently there is a note from his mother on the back of the photo "This is a new photo. It has not come out very clear. They had to make a negative off the original"
The left side of the photo appears to be missing and he looks like he is hesitant at entering the room :-)
If its possible to make him more central in the photo I'd appreciate it.
As an aside, if anyone has any idea what the uniform was I'd be interested, I'm guessing something like Boys Brigade but am not sure.
Thanks

A shove from me, John.

Thanks John !
Sometimes we just need a little persuasion to take those first steps into unknown territory . .
He does look a bit more confident now he's actually 'in' the room :-)

Thank you 'gentle-man' Jim, you were kinder than I and settled on a shuffle rather than a shove :-)

Many thanks japeflakes.
It bothers me when things are skew-whiff so its nice to have him as the centre of attention :-)
Though its now bugging me that I'll never know who or what was on the cut off left hand side of the original!
