Post by: Choccie on Sunday 07 February 21 22:42 GMT (UK)
Beautiful people of rootschat ....on the census I have residents of

1 of Santry , Coolock

I've no idea where that is located but I'm actually looking to find out who lived in

1 of Santry , Coolock

And

3 of Santry, coolock

In 1922 or 1923 ??? I'm confused because I know Santry as being Santry and coolock as being coolock

Thanks in advance if you can help please?

You need to study this https://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/Irish-land-divisions.html about the relationship between townlands, civil parishes and District Electoral Districts (Electoral Divisions).

1911 census
Residents of a house 1 in Santry (Coolock, Dublin)
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Coolock/Santry/8515/

1911 census
Residents of a house 2 in Santry (Coolock, Dublin)
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Coolock/Santry/8517/

Santry townland.......in Civil Parish of Santry in Electoral Division of Coolock.
https://www.townlands.ie/dublin/coolock/santry/coolock/santry/

Bounded by Santry Demesne to the west and Santry (E.D. Coolock) to the east.

Thank you very much ...yes I saw on the 1911 census ...but can you tell me how I find out who lived in number 1 and number 3 around 1920 ?

I admit its difficult to track which districts 'towns' fall under  :-[

There's no comprehensive online records for that period at the moment. 1926 census won't be released for a few years yet.

You could trace the family forward from 1911 with the civil records (births to 1920, marriages to 1945, deaths to 1970) and see if the same family lived there then.
