Hello one and all,
This gentleman is a major stumbling block.
I cannot find his Birth, Death or 1871 census.
Timeline of known information.
c.1806 Born Hampshire (?)
1825 - Marries Harriot Collins in St. Mary's Lambeth, Surrey, England.
1841 - Census; Pilgrim Street, Newington. Not born in county.
1850 - Wife's Harriot's death.
1851 - Census; Paerage Street, Southwark aged 45 a stableman, born Hampshire.
1861 - Census; George Street, Newington, aged 55 a Cabman, Born Hampshire.
1861 - Census; Now listed as married to Susanna (no marriage found)
I'd love to know where in Hampshire George was born and when he died.
I did look through to locate the 1871 but to no avail.
Any help on this elusive chap is welcomed.
Thanks in advance,
Neil.

One here to investigate - baptism 9 Feb 1806 Hursley Hampshire - father William mother Sarah.
Presume the last census you have listed with Susanna should be 1881?
-
There is a death 1867 Newington
George Harris, 67 yrs
Have you checked that?
The births of the younger children on 1861 census, look to have mother’s name Osborn.

George Harris married Susannah Osborn in Lambeth 15 January 1851. His father was William, her father was Thomas.
George's first wife Harriet died 1850 aged 47

Sorry you are right it is 1850.

Slight update.
One of George's children by Susanna, John Tutus Harris married in 1883 to Hannah Vizzard.
Upon the certificate it names George but does not mention the word deceased.
Oh George where for art thou ?

Thanks Milliepede.
That's cool.
So According to George's Marriage cert to Susanna his father was William.
This really looks like a very strong possibility :)
