single male  Scottish  born Canonbie Dumfriesshire Scotland

form 30A   states  on own account with £20  reads english  there to Harvest never been to Canada before
booked via Canadian Pacific Railway

ship ss Marloch ??   10 Aug 1923   at the top someone has written 25618


This is all i have   I believe he visited England  around 1928 or 1930 ish

i cant find anything else if he married there  if he lived there if he died there     
will be very grateful for any help or pointing in the right direction

He was 33 so b 1890.  Last address 3 Rowanburn Canonbie

Neither the 1891 & 1901 census have him with parents - birthplace Canonbie.  You would need to download a copy of his birth cert to get his parents name(sj

What evidence do you have that he visited England?  Have you looked for a marriage in Canada?

What is your connection to him?

I have all his Scottish details. Mother. And born  illegitimate And census info.living with his uncle. As his mother died 1900  I even have his service papers from the Second World War. 
  I have nothing after 1920.  Thank you.

my dear "dbree"  you are fantastic thank you so much
i believe that his visits co inside with deaths in the family  so its all making sense .
may i tax you further  is there a way for me from the uk to see if he ever married  or if he died there (hopefully not alone )    could there be a will .......... a point in the right direction would be fantastic

but for everything youve given me a huge thank you from myself  a 1/3 cousin in oz and a happy lady in the USA

hi yes  she married  Sameul Gilbert in Larne Antrim    her name was Elizabeth Armstrong Little

Aha, I saw Ireland and originally ignored it.

Edmonton Journal newspaper, Feb. 19, 1953, page 28

Little - On Feb.18, age 62, 10628 97th Street. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. S. Gilbert, Ireland.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 3.30 at Howard and McBride's Chapel. Rev. A.B. Simpson
will officiate and interment in the soldiers plot Beechmount Cemetery.

bottom of the page some info, and scroll back up and on the right side "Ask Archivist"
to post your enquiry.
