Does he name a father on his 1937 marriage cert?

What were his middle 2 names?

There is an incoming passenger entry 27.8.1928 from Brisbane for a 14yr old William Sankey going to 111 Westfield Rd  West Ealing.  No other Sankey's on list but several other passenger entries show RN (Royal Navy)

His full name appears to be William Joseph Paul Sankey (from a small piece in newspapers)

There is a Joseph E S Sankey who gained the MM for sevice at Dunkirk in 1943. He was in the RASC though not the Coldstream .
Pretty sure tis was Joseph Edward Spencer Sankey born 11th May 1912 from death index)  who married Lucy A M Henderson in 1942 Okehampton.(Wifes mother Mrs Henderson mentioned in newspaper).
He is on the 1939 but no pointers as to possible family.
There is a passenger list 1931 Plymouth to Malta
Sankey Joseph Edward Sankey 11th May 1912 photographer aged 18 ...19 Carfee Terrace, mount Gold Road, Plymouth
Intended place of residence Malta.

Frustratingly can t find parents.

Hello again ,update on Sankey tree, there is now a sister called Mary Ann Sankey born 1916 in Malta. I think that Marriana Decesare  is now Marriana  Curle her first husband died in 1924  as  there is a reference to her coming from Malta in 1928 same address given as one of her sons in West Ealing again in 1939 same address as one of her sons in plymouth the daughter also lived in the address in 1933

There were Sankey in Malta since 1832, I guess. And at least two other generations after that.
I have a list of early Sankey there if it can help.
