I am trying to expand my paternal line but am 'brick walled' at
Charles Robinson c 1817- c 1872 - Lewes
who married Oct 1840 to
Mary Skinner c 1817 - c 1887 (possibly from Isfield)
any info on their actual dates, parents, or other places to search would be greatly appreciated

1851 census
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VFD7-DZ5
1861 - change in birthplace
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M7YK-QLR
1871
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VFD7-DZ5
All suggest a birthyear around 1820/21
The 1840 marriage cert will show their respective fathers names

FreeREG has Lewes Bapts in the right time frame but no Charles.
I see that Charles/Mary name Daughters Lucy and Rhoda.
For future ref (after you have the M/C of Charles/Mary)
A HENRY/LUCY bapt a Rhoda 19 May 1833 Lewes,, Henry a Bargeman
+ a Lucy 16 Jun 1822
Henry likely married Lucy BAKER 09 Aug 1818 Lewes
Maybe just a coincidence of names
All on FreeREG
F/S has several more children to them but no Charles.

Thanks so much Carole and Trish
Seems like the marriage cert is the next best step
