Is anyone able to tell me when D Ross had his photography business in Stonehaven please.
We have recently discovered a lot of family photographs which were taken by D Ross possibly during the middle 1800's
Thank you Patricia

I think in later census years the above Donald Ross was living in Leslie Fife and there is newpaper notice of the burial of a Donald Ross age 80 Photographer at Leslie, Fife in the Fifeshire Advertiser 13 March 1915

The back looks to be 1870s, I can't see the corners but, they were square up to the early 1870s after which, the corners became rounded off to allow them to be more easily fitted into Victorian album sleeves.

It's helpful to show the whole of the photo but for greater accuracy, it better to post the front too as clothing helps to date them.
