Hi there
I'm looking for the marriage details of Frances Sarah WILSON to Francis Charles A'COURT who apparently married in Bound Brook, Somerset, New Jersey 27th April, 1870. Information sourced in a newspaper item relating to their golden wedding anniversary.
Many thanks :)

You've probably seen this bio https://collection.canterburymuseum.com/objects/707714/macdonald-dictionary-record-francis-charles-acourt

Hi there
No I hadn't seen that information. Thanks very much for that :)

Francis is listed in various Newark (NJ) directories for 1873 and 1874, as a carpenter (16 Vine) and as a carpenter and confectioner (386 Washington). Another one has him listed as a carpenter at 124 Congress in 1873. There's also a John A'Court, carpenter at 123 Congress - a relative perhaps?
The 1870 census for Plainfields, Union County NJ has this entry
Acourtt, John 22, carpenter born England
Acourtt, Frances, 19, born England

Hi there
Thanks for that.
I'm having trouble tracking down where his wife was born. I only know that her father was William Wilson and I don't know the name of her mother
:)

Francis did have a brother, John who seems to fit what you have sent

Possibly the one baptised in Oundle in April 1851, parents William and Sarah

There is a New Jersey marriage database for that time frame here - https://wwwnet-dos.state.nj.us/DOS_ArchivesDBPortal/index.aspx I didn't see your people there.

Their children were baptized in Martock Somerset England 1878 so they didn't stay in New Jersey for very long.
Charles Francis was born 21 September 1873 bap 13 October 1878
Alice Wilton was born 1877 also bap 13 October 1878
