Edward Henry Neale married Caroline Owen in Bath Somerset July qtr 1856.
Daughter Clara Rosina was born in 1857.
Trying to find more about Edward & Caroline is needed in order for me to move forward.
All I have is that in 1861c for Barton St, Walcot,Somerset Caroline is a widow with daughter Clara Rosina age 4.
1871c shows Caroline appears to have married again to Walter Beavis(28) Trunk Maker living in Chorlton on Medlock,Manchester. There are also 3 more daughters Emily 8 b.Bath,Louisa 3 b.Bath
& also baby Mary(0)
I dont know about the rest of the family but Clara Rosina stayed in Lancashire through her life.
Any help finding d.o.b & places where Edward & Caroline came from would be of help if possible.

www.freebmd.org.uk has her second marriage in Bath Dec qtr 1861 - Walter Beaves
You haven't given any info as to where or when Caroline was born
-
If you have Ancestry access the 1856 marriage cert is online. Edward was a widower - occ clerk in orders - fathers name John - same occupation
Caroline was a spinster father was William - not sure whether it says ship or shop proprietor
No ages given for Edward or Caroline - just full age
Witnesses were William & Mary Ann James
-
1851 for a 62yr old Edward Henry Neale - retired clergyman C of E b Honiton Devon which would mean he was 67 when he married Caroline??
-
1841 he's in Wiltshire aged 50 occ Curate
-
His second marriage was to Ann Bennett was on the 30th May 1844. He was still a "clerk in Orders" and was of full age and a widower. He was born 1788 Charmouth Dorset.
John
Edit @ 21.09pm, he was actually born in Honiton Devon but baptised in1793 in Charmouth, Dorset.
-
Believe his first marriage was to Hannah Morgan,29.1.1819 St Clement's, Worcs.

Interesting,so Caroline was his 3rd wife.As he was father to Clara Rosina with Caroline I wonder if he had any children with his previous spouses.
-
Clara Rosina was 3yrs old when she was baptised on 25.3.1860 - noted on baptismal entry. No mention that Edward was deceased
-
On his own in 1841. With wife Ann - no children - in Gloucs 1851
-
A tree on Ancestry has his parents as Rev John Neale & Ann Blagdon. Birth 31.3.1788
-
Evening Carole, the 1851 census shows Edward and Ann living in Cirencester. Her age is hard to read but I think its 69 rather than 62. There is a death of an Ann Neale in the sq 1851 Cirencester aged 70. If this is the case when she married Edward in 1844 she would have beenapprox 63 so I dont think they had children together. What do you think??

You just beat me to it John. Was about to post exactly the same conclusion. The marriage in 1819 may have produced children but difficult to determine at the moment.
Had no luck finding a death for him. Only a short timespan involved but zilch
Find it strange - his father was a clergyman but Edward was 5 before he was baptised and Clara Rosina was 3 before she was baptised

Thank you for that info,so Edward must have died between then & 1861c because Caroline is in Walcot
Somerset as a Widow with Clara Rosina age 4yrs.

if you have access either direct or via Findmypast the British Newspaper Archives have at least 2 items re the Rev Edward Henry Neale. One is in 1815 when Edward was ordained as a Deacon in Oxford. Along with him at this ordination there is a Rev George Morgan. Wonder if he is related to Hannah Morgan who Edward married in 1819. The second article dated 1831 mentions a property for sale by auction in the parish of Feckenham Worcsthat backs onto the boundary lands of the Rev Edward Neale and various others. This closes the timescale a little between his first marriage in 1819 until his second in 1844.

Sarah Knowels- b.1780
John Knowels- b.1824
Caroline Owen-b.1814- A Laundress
Sarah Owen-b.1832
Mary Owen-b.1834
Caroline Owen-b.1836
Emily Owen-b.1838
Presumably with Caroline Snr's parents?
