I think the entry above "Llanlliedy" on the '41 Census is an attempt to capture "Felinfoel"?

Would usually check Welsh Tithes map but getting a bit late!!

Open the map hanes teulu provided a link to.
At the top of the census it says Westfa. On the map, above the arrow is Westfa.
The farm you are looking for must be in that area.
It looks like Hanllech, but that might be how it sounded and the map should clarify.

On the old maps, Westfa Hamlet is an estate with wooded area and farmland around. There is a large house, with at least 6 others in its grounds, none named, so I assume it is one of these. The census page has 5 properties, probably all on the estate and forming the Hamlet. I have looked around the area and there is no named property that looks close.

Thank you both very much for your efforts. It is a very tricky one. Leaning slightly more towards Hanllech, maybe! I think maybe the enumerator had a poor understanding of Welsh as we have on the same page Velinvole which I am presuming should be Felinfoel, but then my Welsh is not that good either!

By 1851 (and 1861) the family had moved on, Thomas and Elizabeth being at Cwmbach, Hamlet of Hengoed, the children being elsewhere. I did try looking for people in neighbouring properties in 1841, in the 1851 census, so I could search in census records around them for the property, but failed miserably.

I am not subscribed to Findmypast but they are advertising a much improved census address search. If anyone does subscribe could they kindly look for 1841 adjacent properties in the 1851 census, find these and then try and locate/identify this property?

Next page in 1841 census with more "adjacent" properties

Welsh Tithe maps has a "John Hugh" as both owner/occupier "Llanlliedy, field no 648". It appears immediately below "Felin Fole"on the map..

Me - I think the '41 entry is "Llanlliedy". If you google it, amongst the hits returned it is reference to a 1 year lease in 1788 relating to "Llanlliedy, Westfa, ...."

The Cambrian, February 1810, names "Ann Thomas and others" as  occupier of the "The Capital Farm of Llanlliedy and Westva".

Side note - the various mentions of "Felinfoel", however spelt, is reminding me how much I am missing my couple of pints of Double Dragon in Carmarthen once a month!!

Thank you. Llanlliedy is the logical conclusion

https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/CMN/Llanelli/Pigot1844. Pigots diary of 1844, records a Thomas Thomas Malster of Lllanlliedy

Does anyone subscribe to Myheritage.com as google suggests this record https://www.myheritage.com/search-records?action=person&siteId=51404321&indId=3000047&origin=profile
has details on an "Elizabeth was born circa 1813, in Llanlliedy. Her occupation was Shopkeeper."

There is the 1810 reference
