Title: Kites
Post by: Quarryman on Friday 07 May 21 11:14 BST (UK)
A family story has a Kite ancestor of mine marrying a Spanish Jewish survivor from the Armada in Dover/Folkstone. Is this possible? Several members of my family (including my brother) had olive complexions - although I am an out and out Celt. My grandmother (a Kite from Dover) had distinctly Spanish/Jewish features. Mystery.

You have about 16,000 ancestors born 14 generations back, or mid-16th century. So any genetic inheritance you have from one of them is exceedingly small.
