I am at a loss at finding my ancestor's death date. Robert W Stobbs was born in 1786 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland, England. Married Elizabeth Skeen 1808 in All Saints, Newcastle, Northumberland, England. But I just can't find a death date. His kids are buried at Preston Cemetery in North Shields, England but I can't find him there. Can anyone help me??

Firstly can I say - not all trees are correct - but this tree states that Robert - although baptised 27th November 1786 at All Saints ,Newcastle Upon Tyne - was BORN 1783 and died July 1849
It is up to you whether you trust the info on this tree

another tree - of Robert Junior gives Elizabeth Skeen parents
Henry STOBBS ca 1759- ? ? Richard SKEEN ca 1760- Hannah WILSON ca 1761-
|
Robert STOBBS ca 1783-1849 Elizabeth SKEEN ca 1788-1854
|
Robert Stobbs 1819-1856
BOTH trees are posted by Michael Crowe - who it would seem is a distant relation to you ...

16th february 1781 Henry Stobbs married Ann Chicken ,All Saints Church, Newcastle upon Tyne - I presume this is your Roberts parents - but- how to prove it ?? anyone any ideas ??

Welcome to Rootschat!
I don't know if this is your fellow, but just in case:
Newcastle Guardian and Tyne Mercury 01 September 1849
Deaths
On the 27th ult. of cholera, aged 66, much respected, Mr Robert Stobbs, many years off-putter at Fawdon Drops.
This would match the one Girl Guide referenced.

Same fellow as my last post, but this newspaper put occupation as boat builder.
North & South Shields Gazette and Northumberland and Durham Advertiser 31 August 1849
