This photo is a copy of the original, which is not in my possession. I received it as a digital copy. Someone wrote identifying information on the back with a sharpie!
The couple on the right are Honora (Annie) Driscoll and her new husband, Thomas Kavanaugh. The other couple stood up for them at their wedding, Bridget Mulligan and Hugh O'Reilly. Annie and Tom were married in Gilpin County, Colorado, USA on 10 Aug 1881.Tom turned out to be a ne'er do well and family lore says he was hanged as a horse thief. Annie was born in 1862 and Thomas in 1856.

While you're waiting what you have is a tintype.
These are always in reverse as you can see from
their jackets.
This is how they would have sat.

Jim,
Is it more likely that the black spots on the photo are degradation of the tintype rather than a sharpie bleeding through? I have several other photos from this collection that definitely have ink coming through from the back. I just made that assumption.
The reversed image, with the bride and groom on the left, looks more natural to me.
This is the bride from the above photo with her second husband, Sam Larkin (1897, Augusta, Montana).
Thanks to all for the outstanding cleanups!
