Title: Help with Old Cardiff Street Name
Post by: lyn oliver on Thursday 27 May 21 04:01 BST (UK)
Looking for assistance with the Residence at Time of Marriage Street Name written on the attached 1865 Marriage Certificate for my ancestor John Lewis. I have looked at Cardiff Street Names, could not see any matches. I have also checked the listings of Cardiff Street Names that have changed over the years; again no matches. Thought it may read - Ebenezer?? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Rootschat   :D

There is an Ebenezer Street in Cardiff in the 1871 census. It may be worth checking later census records to see if it is still there.

That street still exists in the 1939 Register.

Ebenezer Street was demolished in the 1970's to make way for the St David's Centre.
