Morning all,
Started using FindMyPast an hour or so ago with no problems. All of a sudden, error messages are now coming up when I start a fresh search, I get an indication of the number of results for the name but when I click on to attain a list of the findings I get the error messages. Anyone else having problems?

I cannot even log in so I think that would be a yes.
-
Just tried it and working OK for me.
-
I tried twice and failed, then another two attempts and both succeeded. All this in the last few minutes.
-
Working fine for me.
-
Successfully carried out a couple of searches in the last few minutes. Seems to have settled down.
-
Working here also :)

A while ago, it suddenly couldn't show me the 11 baptisms that a search had found. I tried a few times and had some odd messages. Then it sorted itself out ;D
-
Only 1939 Register is not showing for me.

I think that FindMyPast should hire some 'bug finders' to iron out the intermittent problems. It does get a subscriber a little 'tetchy' when you aren't getting what you pay for. Sometimes I hear my old boss shout his famous saying (in broad Scots as well) 'it ain't fit for purpose'.

Saying that, I was going between Ancestry and FindMyPast at the time and Ancestry was really slow to stop.
It definitely wasn't my connection.

Have been using Ancestry a lot today without any problems.

I was doing a lot of updating to my tree and I've noticed that it can't handle those when they come thick and fast (links/pointer, etc or whatever they use in DBs these days!). I use FindMyPast for the records and ancestry for storage.
